Empty Thoughts. Empty Words

I've had very few blog posts lately. I've been busy.

But the real truth is...I haven't been able to find the words to write about. Writer's block or just being plain tired. Not sure which.

One thing I do know is my spirit has felt dry. Life holds so many trials and disappointments. Family issues. Siblings struggling. Children floundering. Doubts in my own mind.

So again, I talk to myself. I say, "Self, you know the truth. You know the One who holds all things together. You know your God loves you and gives you these valleys to grow in, to depend on Him. Gather yourself. Talk to the One who has paid the price of redemption for you. He redeemed you from the pit. He has crowned you with lovingkindness and compassion. (Ps. 103) He will give you the eagles wings to soar on the heights of His love and grace."

Then I give myself a swift kick in the "cookie dough". (This is what the Ponderosa calls the gluteus maximus)

I love the fact that you talk to yourself- truth! It reminded me of this post so I 'm going to share it. I love your honesty. I feel this way so many times! Love and hugs!!! http://www.reformationtheology.com/2006/03/talk_to_yourself_by_martyn_llo.php
