Abounding Trials, Abounding Mercy

The Puebla Ponderosa has seemed to be slammed lately with trials, some big and some small (house repairs, van repairs, sick neighbors, rebellious hearts, unexpected huge detours, relationship breeches, etc.) but when all are added up, life seems overwhelming at times.

Anxiety sets in. Worry abounds. Tears flow much more readily. The arms of God are all encompassing.

This is what keeps us going.

We set our sights on the Gospel. We look to the cross! We prayerfully consider the needs of those around us and strive to serve. We remind ourselves that, "God has not given us a spirit of fear..." And that "perfect love casts out fear." The only perfect love that humans can experience. The Love that was shown at the cross.

So when you are tempted too, sweet friends, to give into despair, keep fighting!
Fight through all those voices that invade the truth. Fight pass them with your body "armor" on the "sword of the Spirit" in your clutches.
