A Prayer for "Hoss"

I find myself at a loss. I know what I should be praying for our son, "Hoss" but my emotions get in the way and I have to fight my way out of selfish prayers.

So today, as I wept and prayed and prayed and wept wailed, I came across these verses.

So "Hoss", my prayer for you today is that you may truly understand this:

Ecclesiastes 11:9-10
"Rejoice, Young Man, during your childhood, and let your heart be pleasant during the days of young manhood. And follow the impulses of your heart and desires of your eyes. Yet know God will bring you to judgment for all these things. So, remove grief and anger from your heart and put away pain from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting."

Through this dark, deep valley God has shown up, just like He has always done in the past.

I'm with you. I do not trust my own prayers because of my heart's fickle nature--so I pray scripture over my children and grandchildren always.

God responds to His Word and I trust His Word.

Praying for you and yours.

Praying with you that he will understand this - and I will keep believing that he will. He is covered by much prayer - so are you and all of the precious "Cartwrights".
Love you, Patty
