"I'm Prising You!"

These are three little words I hear from my "Inger" very often through out the day.

She wants to 'prise me all the time. Whether she is coloring a picture or cleaning her room, she calls out, "Don't come in. I'n goin' to 'prise you."

She has such enjoyment in making me smile.

This has made me ask myself, "How much do I strive to make my children smile?" Many times I just want to accomplish what we need to, struggling to make time and room for any extras, even just a tickle or joke. How much happier the home is when my focus is on pleasing others and not merely completing my check-off list.

Yet on an even greater level, how often do I strive to make my Jesus smile? Are all my doings out of obligation or enjoyment and satisfication that I am glorifying my Savior?

Lord, may my greatest satisfaction come in knowing you, loving you, glorifying you and serving others.

In this I will find true fullness of joy.
